Meet the Founder...

Founder: Dan Rawson

I came up with the idea while I was setting up for a wedding in 2019. Multiple trips back and forth to my van, up the elevator, across the hall into the function room to then spend 60 min setting up and looking professional.

Coming from the nightclub scene, I was used to being the life of the party but wanted to add that to a function room with speed and
convenience, all while eliminating the expensive and intimidating technology surrounding hi-fi audio setup.

There’s a lot that goes into making a standard DJ setup look presentable. I wanted to be different and stand out. Something was missing... watching the Photobooth guys roll in and roll out so easily... I also wanted my setup and pack-down to be more like that, if not easier. From that day, I couldn’t shake this idea I had, I needed to make it a reality and change the way I delivered entertainment. After months in my garage and many trials and errors, the first BoomBox Booth was born.

After only a few gigs and realising what a game changer this was to my business, I started to build more. The feedback from both patrons and DJs was just so amazing, this only fueled my need to share my breakthrough with the world and help other DJs earn a living doing what they love.

I have increased my previous income so much that I still have some balance in my life. I no longer need to do 2am-close sets to supplement my in- come and chase my passion. The BoomBox Booth is five-times faster to set up and pack down without the sweaty effort of traditional setups, that meant I could set up three booths, at different locations all in the same amount of time I used to set up for one. What a game changer. DJ’s want to work for me, not the other way around, clients need to have my booth so much so that I have booking years in advance. The units have completely changed my business and I’m just loving it.

Now my focus is on making this a reality for everyone from the wedding mobile DJ doing one gig a week because he loves it, to the huge companies that can brand their own fleet of BoomBox Booths to make every event a showstopper.
